    Some simple game ideas ChatGPT can build: Tic Tac Toe, avoid obstacles, brick breaker, etc.

    Step 1: Open ChatGPT’s Canvas

    You can either type a / to choose the Canvas mode or explicitly tell ChatGPT to open Canvas Preview. This will ensure that your game will be interactive within ChatGPT.

    Step 2: Prompt to create playable game

    Try out this prompt, and feel free to add more details and instructions to make it yours. 

    “Create a simple, fully playable game that runs in ChatGPT’s Canvas Preview. The game should use JavaScript and be interactive within the preview mode. Make sure it has clear controls (keyboard or mouse-based) and visual feedback to show game progress. Keep it lightweight to ensure smooth performance. Provide a brief explanation of the controls.”

    Step 3: Run and test your game

    After ChatGPT generates the code, you can find the Preview button at the top left corner of Canvas.

     

    Step 4: Level up the game

    Push the challenge further by adding extra features:

    •  A scoring system
    •  A win/lose condition
    • A restart button
    • More game mechanics (power-ups, enemies, or levels)
