Let’s get started!

Vibe marketing with Canva AI

Recently, Canva made its Create a Video Clip feature available to all Pro and paid users.

It’s an AI-powered tool that lets you generate short, 8-second cinematic videos with sound, just by typing a prompt. You don’t need any video editing experience, and you don’t have to leave Canva to use it.

There’s been a quiet but meaningful shift in how creative work gets done, especially in small teams or solo roles.

With AI tools becoming more accessible, we’re starting to see a new kind of creative flow emerge. Marketing isn’t divided by strict roles like copywriter, designer, or video editor. Instead, individuals can take on multiple parts of the process with just one tool and a good sense of the message.

That’s what we mean when we talk about vibe marketing. It’s about amplifying what one person can do, helping them work across formats without needing to jump between platforms or rely on specialized software. And Canva has been steadily building toward that.

This might seem like a small addition, but it ties into a bigger pattern. It’s one more way Canva is trying to become a single space where you can actualize and visualize your ideas faster and more confidently.

Power your marketing workflow with Canva

  • Create a video clip: Turn a prompt or idea into a cinematic short video (8 seconds, with sound). Perfect for slide backgrounds, opening slides, social teasers, or mood-driven content.
  • Canva’s Magic Studio brings multiple smart tools into one place. You can generate visuals and videos with Magic Media, draft copy with Magic Write, build interactive elements using Canva Code, and analyze or visualize data in Canva Sheets
  • Make your content more engaging: Generate and embed quizzes, maps, timelines, and calculators to your slides using plain language via Canva Code. See our 5-step example »
  • Reinvented spreadsheets with AI features: Canva Sheets offers a visual and intuitive take on spreadsheets, complete with AI functionalities such as Magic Insights, Magic Formulas, Magic Charts, Bulk Create, and Translate, helping you analyze data, generate visualizations, and scale content efficiently

To see how this plays out in practice, here’s one example we love: using Canva Code to turn a simple prompt into a fully interactive map, directly inside your presentation.

We’ve all sat through slides that feel flat. What if, instead of showing static charts or bullet points, your audience could click, zoom, and explore right inside your presentation?

Canva AI’s Code for me turns that idea into reality, helping you create interactive visuals that keep people engaged, without needing to code. One of the best examples: building a live world map where your audience can explore office locations by region, like Google’s global footprint.

Here’s how to do it in minutes:

  1. Open Canva AI and choose Code for me
  2. Paste a prompt with your office list: “Create an interactive world map with a sidebar labeled ‘Navigate by Region’ (Global HQ, United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Africa & Middle East, plus a ‘View All Offices’ button). Add pins for each office, with tooltips showing city and country. Place three stat cards above: ‘60+ Global Offices,’ ‘6 Continents,’ ‘50+ Countries.’ Use a professional, clean design.
  3. Test and refine with natural language feedback, such as “Increase pin size and add city labels on hover” or “Add smooth zoom animations when selecting regions.”
  4. Embed it directly into your deck
  5. Expand and try out other interactive ideas with Canva's Code for me, such as Interactive org charts that expand on click, click-to-reveal training quizzes, regional dashboards with filters, or animated product launch timelines.

As AI becomes more deeply integrated into everyday tools like Canva, the way we approach creative work is starting to shift by expanding what individuals and small teams can take on.

Your AI Team: Grammarly’s new AI agents, GPT-5’s warmer tone, Gemini’s Storybook, and more

Every week, I report on the top updates to your favorite AI tools. This week:

Grammarly has become an AI-powered workspace

Grammarly has officially moved beyond grammar. With its latest update, the platform now offers a fully redesigned document-style interface that supports brainstorming, drafting, revising, and polishing.

What makes it special:

  • AI agents for every stage of writing: Grammarly now includes a suite of specialized AI agents like Grader, Reader Reactions, Paraphraser, Citation Helper, and more. Each one is built to handle a distinct task like identifying confusing sections, rephrasing sentences, or suggesting sources for your claims.
  • A redesigned workspace for deeper writing: The new Grammarly experience shifts from floating suggestions to a structured, focused editor. Think Notion or Coda, but with an AI writing assistant constantly learning from your tone and context.

Grammarly’s new direction makes it a true writing partner. Whether you’re a student, manager, or solo operator, this shift means less time reworking drafts and more time communicating clearly from the start.

Quick Hits from your favorite AI tools:

  • Gemini Storybook brings your imagination to life: With a simple prompt or even your own photos or drawings, Gemini can generate personalized, illustrated 10-page storybooks complete with narration and custom art styles like claymation, comics, or coloring-book aesthetics, available globally on both desktop and mobile in over 45 languages.
  • OpenAI softens GPT-5’s tone to feel more natural in conversation: GPT-5 is getting a warmer and friendlier tone, with subtle updates like “Good question” and “Great start,” designed to feel more approachable without increasing sycophancy, based on user feedback.
  • Google Photos launches a new Create tab as the hub for its AI editing tools: Rolling out now in the U.S., the update brings features like animated photo-to-video, Remix art styles (anime, sketch, 3D), collages, highlight videos, and more.

AI Tools Recommendation: AI for Video Generation

Instead of chasing the latest hype, I’m using this section to highlight the top AI tools in key categories, only those Lead with AI community members are actually using and relying on.

This week: AI for Video Generation

If you’ve ever felt blocked by editing software, production timelines, or the need to “just get something visual out,” these tools can take you from idea to video.

Pika

Still one of the most accessible real-time video tools. Just type a prompt “a neon-lit Tokyo street in the rain” and you’ll get a short stylized video, complete with camera movement and animation.

Runway ML

If you’ve ever needed a video editor that’s beginner-friendly but still smart, Runway’s the go-to. The free plan gives you access to powerful features like green screen, motion tracking, and image-to-video generation. It’s well-suited for creators making content on the fly. → Explore Runway.

Opus Clip

This tool has become a favorite for anyone turning long-form content, like podcasts, webinars, or talks, into short, social-ready clips. Just paste a link or upload your video, and Opus uses AI to identify viral-worthy moments, generate highlights, and even add captions. → Try Opus Clip.

ChatGPT’s head on AI attachment, Claude AI’s welfare protection, along with more crucial AI stories

Every day, Daan, Wendy, and I read all the AI news so that you don't have to.

Here are the must-read stories of the week:

The head of ChatGPT on AI attachment, ads, and what’s next

In a recent Verge interview, Nick Turley cautioned users that despite GPT‑5’s increased accuracy and power, it still hallucinates, so it should serve as a helpful “second opinion” rather than a sole source of truth.

Claude AI will end ‘persistently harmful or abusive user interactions’

Anthropic’s latest update empowers Claude (Opus 4 and 4.1) to terminate conversations in rare, extreme cases of repeated harmful or abusive behavior, designed as a last-resort measure to protect the model’s welfare.

How AI Can Help Tackle Collective Decision-Making

This Harvard Business Review article explores how AI can enhance collective decision-making by helping groups navigate trade-offs, counter information overload, and strengthen shared understanding.
